PRESS RELEASE ( MARTHA'S VINEYARD) The Louisa Gould Gallery is delighted to announce a new group show during our 17th season! Please join us for an Artist Reception for "Colors & Textures of Summer" featuring new works by; Theresa Girard, Nick Paciorek, Suzanne Hill, Peter Batchelder, Peggy Turner Zablotny, and Pepe Conley. The reception will be Saturday, July 27, from 5 to 7pm.

Theresa Girard is a well-known national abstract painter who has shown with the Louisa Gould Gallery for three years. Theresa's loose softer abstracts have been popular brightening island and off-island homes. Theresa will also give her fun and informative, 'Coffee Talk' on Friday, July 26 at 10am at the Gallery.

Peggy Turner Zablotny presents new amazing botanical prints from her Vineyard Haven garden. Peggy is a well-known island artist who astounds at color, desgin, shape, form and gardening. Her works are pleasing and bring a little piece of the island landscape into the home.

Suzanne Hill continues to create saggar fired stoneware to amaze. She has created new forms and a series of black fired pots that are striking. Suzanne is a master potter and has shown with the Louisa Gould Gallery for eight years. She continues to create her popular blue and white saggars in all shapes and sizes.

Peter Batcheder exhibits a new series of landscape oil paintings in a variety of sizes. Peter used to live on the Vineyard. His paintings are about a sense of place. He is known for vibrant colors similar to Wolf Kahn and a subject matter similar to Robert Cardinal. 

Nick Paciorek continues to inspire with a new body of land and seascape in bright bold colors. Nick paints the Vineyard in her best colors to remind us of why we all love the Vineyard.

Lastly, the gallery presents Pepe Conley as a new gallery artist. Pepe is married to the Aquinnah Vanderhoop family with native American Indian local heritage. Pepe loves the sea and has an incrediable ablity to capture water in it's various forms and colors. He has created a new series of work especially for this show.
