Paul Beebe’s Ship to Shore Exhibition at Louisa Gould Gallery – A Celebration of Maritime Beauty

Vineyard Haven, MA – July 28, 2025 – Louisa Gould Gallery is pleased to present Ship to Shore, an exquisite new exhibition of oil paintings by renowned artist Paul Beebe. The show will run from August 5 through September 21, 2025, and will feature 11 new original paintings that capture the stunning seascapes and maritime history of Martha’s Vineyard. The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, August 5 from 5-7pm, where guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and discuss his creative process.

Beebe’s latest collection explores the beauty of the island’s coastal landscape, including boats under sail in Edgartown Harbor, the peaceful stillness of the moonlit water, and the expansive marshes at sunset. Each piece captures fleeting moments, such as the soft pinks and purples of the sky just before dusk, which Beebe has a unique ability to render with great detail and emotion. His mastery of oil paints brings these landscapes to life, evoking a sense of timelessness that invites viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty of the natural world.

“Paul’s work has a distinctive quality—he can capture a fleeting moment in time, whether it’s the glow of a sunset or the shimmering reflection of moonlight on the water,” says Louisa Gould, owner of Louisa Gould Gallery. “He brings Martha’s Vineyard’s marine history and landscapes to life in ways that are incredibly rare, especially in his nocturnal depictions of boats under sail.”

A signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists, Beebe has spent over three decades perfecting his craft and drawing inspiration from the waters and shores of Martha’s Vineyard. His work is featured regularly in prestigious exhibitions, including the International Marine Art Exhibitions at Mystic Seaport, where he has received numerous accolades, including the Award of Excellence and the Rudolph J Schaefer III Emerging Artist Award. Recently, Beebe was also awarded membership to the Salmagundi Art Club in New York City.
