MARTHA'S VINEYARD) The Louisa Gould Gallery is delighted to announce the addition of renowned maritime painter, Leonard (Len) Mizerek (Fellow ASMA). Len showed during the inaugural Martha's Vineyard Maritime Show during the fall of 2020 and has joined the roster of artists at Gould Gallery.
Len has a long affiliation and love with Martha's Vineyard and the sea. Len is a Fellow of the ASMA, (American Society of Maritime Artists). Many of the oil paintings in this exhibit are painted either plein air or were started on location on the island. Len is a master draftsman and his skill and control of the brush are obvious with each stroke speaking volumes. In addition, he is able to decipher light and shadows within an hour of the rising or setting sun. Furthermore, the feeling and essence of each piece tells a story and pulls the viewer into the narrative of a Len Mizerek canvas.
