Artist List
Donna Blackburn

Having grown up in the Southeastern Massachusetts area, I've always been aware of the regions contribution to the fine arts, both locally and world wide. My first art interests developed before I could write my name, and I've continued to cultivate my artwork on many levels.. The artists who have inspired my work are Andrew Wyeth, Edward Seago, John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, Winslow Homer, and the French Impressionists, as well as the Post Impressionist painters.

I enjoy working in different mediums. Though I paint primarily in oils and acrylic watercolors, I continue to draw in pencil and ink, create with pastels, and have dabbled in fiber arts and scrimshaw. I have taught art to the young and old, and hope that my love of art has helped to foster the same in others.

My paintings feature the close details of nature, coastal vistas, expressive dawn and sunset scenes, architectural settings, world travel views, interesting still life subjects, portrait commissions, and genre settings. My subject choices are as varied as my interests!
